The International Union “ERTOBA” will cover your travel expenses. You are requested to arrange your journey by the most economical route. Your travel expenses will only be reimbursed upon presentation of documentary evidence of the sum actually paid ( invoice and copy of the travel ticket). Accommodation and meals will be provided for you by the International Union “ERTOBA”.

Dear Participants,

Here you will find some information, which can be useful before you arrive to Tbilisi.

The activity take place from 15th to 21st May 2003.
PROGRAM OF THE ACTIVITY:

The final program of the activity is enclosed. If you have any doubt about it, please do not hesitate to contact us. Anyway, there will be a moment of presentation of the program at the beginning of the activity so doubts can be clarified.
LANGUAGE OF THE ACTIVITY

As you have already been informed, the official language of the activity will be English. This means that we will communicate with a common language. We are aware that during free time we will be listening other languages like Russian, Spanish, Italian, Armenian, Azeri, etc.
THE PLACE OF THE ACCOMMODATION:

They speak Georgian , Russian and English


In a room will be accommodated 2-3 person.
International Union “ERTOBA” will cover your accommodation and board
from 15th to 21st of May.


TRAVEL INFORMATION:

Your Travel expenses will be reimbursed. A maximum reimbursable amount applies according to the following list:

Spain, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands……………….. Euro 400
Russia………………….. Euro 120
Azerbaijan, Armenia……….Euro 30

Please, bring with you an invoice and a copy of the travel ticket.
PICK UP AT THE AIRPORT:

The arrival point for the participants travelling by plane will be:

If you arrive by plane
The pick up at the airport will be organising with by International Union “ERTOBA”. A representative from “ERTOBA” will meet you. Guest House “Liza”, the place where the lodging will take place needs around 25 minutes by taxi from Tbilisi airport. Please, inform us the date and the time of your arrive in time if you’d like to use this service.
If you want to reach the place yourself:
After immigration take a taxi to the Guest House “Liza” (Euro14).
For participants coming from Azerbaijan:
If you arrive by train

The pick up at the railway station will be organising by International Union “ERTOBA”. A representative from “ERTOBA “ will meet you in the station. Guest house “Liza”, the place where the lodging will take place needs around 15 minutes by taxi from Tbilisi railway station. Please, inform us the date and the time of your arrive in time if you’d like to use this service.
If you want to reach the place yourself:
Get a train from Baku to Tbilisi and take a taxi (Euro4) from the train station to the hotel.
For participants coming from Armenia:
If you arrive by train

The pick up at the station will be organising By International Union “ERTOBA”. A representative from “ERTOBA “ will meet you in the station. Guest house “Liza”, the place where the lodging will take place needs 15 minutes by taxi from Tbilisi railway station. Please, inform us the date and the time of your arrive in time if you’d like to use this service.
If you want to reach the place yourself:
Get a train from Baku to Tbilisi and take a taxi ($4) from the train station to the guest house.

MONEY TO BRING:

During the activity everything will be covered in terms of program, board and lodging for the days of the activity. You will need to cover expenses for personal needs as films for the photographs, drinks if you go out, etc…

We advise you to bring American Dollars or Euro
The local currency is GEORGIAN LARI.
$ 1 = 2,15lari 1 Euro = 2,17 lari

TELEPHONE CALLS:

During the activity you will be able to receive any telephone call and if you’d like to make a call abroad you have to buy a phone card
LOCAL TIME:

In GEORGIA there are 4 hours of time zone compared with GMT. This information will help you to know the real time in your own country.
WEATHER:

In April the weather is quite variable and can change from cloudy to sunny and can be rainy though sunny few minutes before. The coldest temperature that can be reached will be around 8/9 C° degrees during the day and a bit less in the evenings. We suggest that you bring a mid season equipment.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU?

As you can see in the program there are some themes you should be informed about before arriving to Tbilisi. Also, there are some things that can be useful during your stay that we will try to describe now:
1. Information about your organisation for the brief presentation we will have during the second day;

AND

· 3 objects that describe you
· 3 objects that for you describe young people in your country
· 3 objects that for you describe Rights of your country


2. Information about your country, your culture and in general, aspects of the culture that are typical characteristic of the area you belong to. It will be great if you could bring posters, brochures, some typical food, drink, music, national dress etc... So that they can be shown during the international parties;
3. The participants are requested to be informed about the topics of the various workshops that will be held during the activity.
4. Any medicine you think you will need during your stay in Georgia.
5. If you are vegetarian or you have any allergy problems, please inform us as soon as possible so that we are prepared to help you during the activity;


VISA REQUIREMENTS

The participant who needs the visa. It is required to have a visa to enter the country. The visa can be obtained in the Embassy (if you have one in your country) and it cost 45$.
The visa can be either obtained at TBILISI airport upon your arrival (Bring 1 passport picture that you will need to enclose to the visa’s request), but in this case the charge will be 80$. If in your country there is not an official representing office of Georgia, you will be charged only 45$.
